Unofficial Hurricane Survival Guide — One Moore Thing

There are many official guides out there to help you prepare for the upcoming storm.

There are also many hilarious memes out there to help you laugh as you prepare. While I encourage you to take all storm warnings seriously and to stock up on the essentials, here is a lighter and unofficial guide to what you really need to prepare for a hurricane.

Unofficial Hurricane Survival Checklist:

 · A fun shirt (if you are wearing a 90's rap shirt, you are at a minimum 90% more likely to be ready to handle what life throws at you)

· A Netflix plan of attack (don’t be caught off guard; you were born to be ready for this)

· Charged phones (if you aren’t ready to post on social media how you are surviving the hurricane, do you really even have your head in the game?)

· A kayak (someone has to do the coffee run)

· A plan to evacuate (to a party; hurricane parties served with hurricanes should definitely be a thing)

· A plan to stay in (this is the introvert’s dream- looking for the perfect excuse to not go anywhere? A HURRICANE really is the ultimate get out of doing anything you don’t want to do card)

· Books, candles, face masks, bath bombs (if you can’t get to the spa, let’s try to bring the spa to you)

· Remember that your washing machine can double as a cooler (laundry can wait, this is a weekend of living our best lives)

· Halloween candy (these are emergency times, do not wait until October to open)

· Galoshes (a fun and necessary rain accessory that look surprisingly cute with shorts)

· Wine.

Happy hurricane everyone and be safe out there…
