March Madness

Spring is almost here! While the weather doesn’t always cooperate with our dreams of early cherry blossoms and 65-degree temperatures, March has no shortage of fun up its sleeve. Here are four ways to kick off spring.

Annapolis Restaurant Week
Restaurant Week in Annapolis (March 2–10) is a great chance to branch out and try new spots to eat, new food and all at great prices. Diners will be treated to two-course breakfasts and lunches, and three-course dinners with prix fixe menus that highlight each restaurant’s specialties. Find menus, extra discounts and bonus deals at downtownannapolispartnership.org/restaurant-week

Maryland Day
Over the last weekend of March 29–31, you can celebrate Maryland history at more than 20 sites in Anne Arundel County, including Historic London Town, downtown Annapolis, and South county. The official state celebration will take place on March 25 at St. Clements Island in St. Mary’s County. Find out about the free tours, demonstrations and concerts near you at marylandday.org

Annapolis Film Festival
This annual festival (March 21–24) will share more than 70 films at locations around Annapolis, including short films, documentaries, features, and animated films. There are also behind-the-scenes Q&As with filmmakers, panel discussions and parties! Check into annapolisfilmfestival.com for this year’s lineup of screenings, activities and parties.

Chesapeake Family Life Camp Fairs
Join Chesapeake Family Life for our annual Camp Fairs! While you meet with representatives from more than 40 camps, the kids can make s’mores, play games, and work on crafts. It’s the perfect chance to research where to send your kids this summer and get your kids in on the decision. See you on March 2 at Annapolis Area Christian School, and March 23 at the Chesapeake Arts Center in Brooklyn Park. ChesapeakeFamily.com/campfair
