Summer Fun—Day 65: Visit Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro

Follow the yellow brick road at Watkins Regional Park to tons of family activities, like a carousel, playground, miniature train, miniature golf and the Old Maryland Farm.

watkinsThe farm is located just a short walk from the miniature train station and has agricultural exhibits, livestock and display gardens to provide a farming experience to all visitors.

Ride the red, white and blue miniature train through the woodlands to see an up-close view of the farm and natural wildlife along the way.

Be sure to play the 18-hole miniature golf course and take a ride on the historic carousel.

The park also has a Wizard of Oz themed playground for the kids, with an Emerald City jungle gym, yellow brick road and ruby slipper slides.

These amenities are open from 11 a.m.-7p.m. on Mondays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday,  and noon-5 p.m. on  Sundays.
