Holiday Fun, Day 39—New Year's Eve activities for kids

All the New Year's Eve fun doesn't have to be for adults only, and it doesn't have to happen late at night either.

There are plenty of fun activities for kids during the day on New Year's Eve with a number of celebrations that welcome in the new year at noon. The Science Center in Baltimore is having a Midnight Noon party with live music, noise-makers and other fun. Port Discovery Children's Museum is having a New Year's toast with milk and cookies at noon. EcoAdventures in Millersville is holding a ball drop and more at noon, and the Calvert Marine Museum in Solmons is having a dance party with bubbles and a toast to the NOON Year for museum members.

For families with older kids who want to brave a more traditional celebration, Annapolis holds a celebration with family activities, fireworks and more from 3 p.m. until midnight. Baltimore also has fireworks, live music and an official countdown at the Inner Harbor.
